Dear Mrs Powell,

Your most recent manuscript was brought to our attention at the latest Editorial Board meeting when we discussed the potential of its publication. Having read all the reports and taken note of the Editors’

opinions we can confidently state that your novel was found to be an entertaining and immersive read,

that will undoubtedly captivate the young audience. This story is timeless and has a magical feel to it that can be felt by both child and adult. The Board was keen to comment on your distinctive and accessible narrative and how this works to deliver a most absorbing and attractive sequel. Like your previous publications, we would be delighted to provide illustrations. Therefore, I take great pleasure in enclosing a contract for your perusal and, if you so decide, your approval.

.

We have read all of Carmen's books, and they are all wonderful. Henry can't decide which one he likes best. Initially it was the first book about Matthew, but that was because he thought it was about his brother and Henry was rather insistent on finding the magic goat. Then with Christmas in full swing he liked Sprite's Christmas Flight. I suspect by summer he'll prefer the Two Talking Turtles. Regardless, we are enjoying her work here in the Martin household!
