ABOUT ME

Professional educator with a passionate belief in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) philosophy and approach.

Throughout my career I have developed and demonstrated my superb communication skills establishing and fostering productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating across all professional levels and with parents to encourage involvement in student learning. When educating young children, it is vital to incorporate parents into the learning process, and Ofsted has noted my relationship with parents as ‘exemplary,’ which is a true point of pride for me.

Working in team environments I have established a record as a supportive mentor and coach, motivating individuals and teams to achieve their professional best. My background includes multiple situations where I have had the opportunity to leverage my professional experience and training to improve practices and the overall quality of instruction.

In addition to my teaching and training roles, I have written and published children’s books focusing on inclusion, using books to support children’s personal, social, and emotional development as well as their communication and language skills.

Service has always been very important to me, and I have volunteered at the Bulembu School in Swaziland, assisting the principal with program and curriculum development. I also volunteered at Epsom RDA, supporting disabled children and young adults.

I would like to bring my extensive experience working with young children, my dedication to continuous improvement, and superb communication skills to helping children grow and develop.
